Xboxes, TVs and iPads are all on the list for teenagers at Wythenshawe Hospital thanks to SuperJosh and Simplyhealth
Health insurance provider Simplyhealth has given £2,000 to The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity. The funds will enable the charity to donate a teenager entertainment package including an Xbox, TVs and iPads to teenagers at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester.
Josh, also known as SuperJosh was diagnosed with a brain tumour at three years old. The lifesaving brain surgery, however, left him with complex physical needs and a brain injury. To celebrate his 13th birthday, the charity was set up by his mum, to give hope to other children and young people with brain tumours and post-surgery disabilities.
We are very grateful for Simplyhealth’s kind donation to help Josh fund a teenage entertainment package for Wythenshaw Hopsital. We are so excited about delivering these items as they really do go a long way to helping the children feel happier and to put a smile on their faces which is fantastic to see.
We’re pleased that we are able to support this wonderful charity. Since its launch in August 2013, they've been able to help sick children with circumstances similar to Josh’s. As well as helping hospitals and children's centres, they also support parents and families with advice, support and financial help.
