Breast cancer charity, The Haven benefits from revamped facilities thanks to Simplyhealth
Simplyhealth has donated £900 to its local branch of The Haven, a national breast cancer support charity with a centre in Leeds. The charity offers expert advice, complementary therapies, emotional and physical support to cancer patients. The money has been invested in upgrading the centre’s kitchen facilities, specifically a new cooker.
Our specialist team of nurses and experts provide tailored support programmes to help people with the physical and emotional side effects of breast cancer treatment. Often even after beating cancer, people find it difficult to get back to normality and face everyday hurdles. We are here to help them overcome these challenges by offering physical and emotional support. Difficulties can include simple tasks such as making a hot meal and this is one of the ways in which we are here to help. Simplyhealth’s donation has allowed us to buy a fabulous, much needed new cooker which will have such an impact on everybody we work with.
The Haven provides an invaluable service to our community. The staff and volunteers do a fantastic job supporting people through their illness. We are delighted to support the charity, and hope that everyone visiting the centre can enjoy the new facilities.
