Employees embark in friendly competition to raise funds for St Peter’s Hospice

With the help of its employees, healthcare provider Simplyhealth has donated over £5,300 to local Bristol charity St Peter’s Hospice which is celebrating 35 years serving the community.

Employees from Simplyhealth House in Bristol raised funds for the charity by holding competitions between the five floors to see who could raise the most money. The fundraising activities included ‘pie a manager’, as well as quizzes and cake sales. Their efforts raised a total of £1880.13 which was given an additional boost of £3500.00 from the company to recognise the hospice’s 35th anniversary.

We would like to thank Simplyhealth for their great fundraising efforts which resulted in a generous donation. At St Peter’s Hospice, all of our care is provided free of charge, but it costs us around £18,000 a day to provide that care. The funds raised will enable us to continue to care for adults with life-limiting illnesses in and around Bristol while extending care and support to their families and loved ones.

St Peter’s Hospice makes a real difference to the lives of many people in the community. We had a great day raising money for this fantastic charity to celebrate its 35th year of serving people in Bristol as well as our own anniversary of five years as Simplyhealth.
