Former Global Vice President of Simple skincare appointed new Simplyhealth Non-Executive Director

Simplyhealth is to appoint Alexandra Pike as a Non-Executive Director subject to FCA approval. Stepping down from her full time role as Global Vice President of Unilever owned, Simple Skincare, Alexandra will bring a new dimension to the Simplyhealth Board with her knowledge and experience of the consumer health and wellbeing markets.

 
 

Alexandra has a long tenure in health and wellbeing, spending the past five years as Vice Chair of the NHS Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospital Foundation Trust, and Chairman of NHS Organ donation. With roots in marketing and communications, Alexandra has also held senior positions at global brand Fitness First and European health and fitness chain Esporta Health and Fitness.

In addition to Alexandra’s position as Non-Executive Director, James Glover will also take on the role of Corporate Affairs Director and Company Secretary at Simplyhealth. James has been at Simplyhealth for 10 years working within sales, marketing and business performance and previously led its compliance and legal teams as Group Counsel. His new responsibilities will be to ensure Simplyhealth has the right governance and oversight arrangements in place to support the changing needs of the business as well as supporting the Simplyhealth Board.

Simplyhealth provides cash plans, dental plans and private medical insurance to individuals, families and businesses. It also has seven stores providing mobility products and daily living aids. The company’s four Non Executive Directors sit on the Board alongside the Chairman, Chief Executive and two Executive Directors.
