PHAB club in Leeds given £10,000 boost to go towards custom minibus

The Leeds PHAB Club’s dream to buy a custom built new vehicle for its members is a step closer thanks to a £10,000 donation from healthcare provider Simplyhealth.

The Prince Philip Centre PHAB Club (Physically Disabled/Able Bodied) is a charity which provides social gatherings for people in Leeds with a physical or mild learning disability together with able bodied friends.

Simplyhealth has been very generous to us over the years and we are really grateful for their continued support. The donation of £10,000 is a huge boost to our target of £32,000 which we need to buy a replacement minibus for The Leeds PHAB Club. The minibus, one of PHAB’s fleet of four, will be used to collect members from all over Leeds for day to day activities, outings and residential trips, and will be customised and adapted so that it can be accessed by everyone, especially those with limited mobility and those who use a wheelchair.

We’re pleased that we are able to continue to support this great charity and help them to buy the minibus. We’re glad that our donation will help them with their aim to provide transport which we hope will benefit many members of the community who attend the Leeds PHAB Club.
