Simplyhealth donation helps Brainwave unlock children’s potential

Simplyhealth has made a very generous donation of £79,245 to the children’s charity, Brainwave.

Brainwave has been operating for over 30 years but this is one of the largest donations the Charity has ever received.  The healthcare provider has agreed to support Brainwave in a number of ways including sponsoring one of its physiotherapists who delivers therapy for the children and by funding maintenance and running costs of the hydrotherapy pool at the Charity’s centre in Bridgwater, Somerset. The donation will also go towards sponsoring ten families to follow the programme of assessments and therapy that the Charity offers.

We are delighted that Simplyhealth has made this fantastic donation.  This will help us to enable children to reach their full potential and achieve their developmental milestones through the provision of our therapy programme. The benefits of the programme include improvements in gross and fine motor skills, communication and cognitive development.  The support from Simplyhealth will enable us to help so many more children and we are extremely grateful.

At Simplyhealth, we’re committed to helping people make the most of life and we believe that Brainwave does just that by helping children living with a disability to unlock their potential to achieve greater independence.

We’re delighted to support Brainwave by sponsoring one of their physiotherapists and covering the cost of the hydrotherapy pool which are crucial parts of the charity’s service. We wish the ten families we’re following through the programme well, and hope that they learn many tips and skills they can use at home.
