Simplyhealth joins the Leeds Midnight walk

Healthcare provider Simplyhealth is supporting the Leeds Midnight Walk for the second year running with a £6,000 donation, in aid of St Gemma’s Hospice on Saturday 16 May 2015.

Now in its 9th year, the ladies only seven or ten mile walk will start and finish at Xercise 4 Less gym where participants will walk around Kirkstall, Horsforth and West Park from late Saturday evening until early Sunday morning.

We are very grateful that Simplyhealth has decided to support the annual Leeds Midnight Walk once again and we hope that it will be bigger and better than ever before.

This one night challenge will give many nights of support to our patients and their families, thanks to the hard work, commitment and sponsorship money raised by participants.

The Leeds Midnight Walk is an extremely popular event combining a healthy challenge along with raising funds for a fantastic charity. It’s events like these which enables St Gemma’s Hospice to continue with the fantastic work they do to provide specialist medical nursing care to terminally ill people in Leeds and we’re proud to be supporting the event for the second year running. I’d like to wish everyone, including our own team from Simplyhealth, an enjoyable evening’s walk.

Last year, over 850 women took part in the Leeds Midnight Walk, raising over £99,000 for patient care at St Gemma’s Hospice. This year, they hope to raise even more money and encourage many more women to register.
