Denplan, the UK’s leading dental payment plan specialist and part of Simplyhealth has today announced the acquisition of The Animal Healthcare Company Ltd, also known as AHC. The acquisition will complement Denplan’s current Pet Health Plans offering and enhance the service it provides to the growing market of corporate and large vet practices. AHC, based in West Sussex, provides online, self service direct debit collections for practices and practice groups (corporates) who offer their own health plans for pets.
Through Denplan Pet Health Plans, Denplan offers pet health plans for over 140,000 pets through independent veterinary practices. AHC’s offering is clearly differentiated from Denplan’s current products and is ideally suited for the growing corporate market and will add a further 200,000 pets to the group. This acquisition will strengthen Denplan’s expertise in the pet health plans marketplace by gaining access and thereby an understanding of the corporate sector.
Denplan was acquired by Simplyhealth less than three years ago with the goal of supporting and driving growth over the coming years. It is exciting to note that not only has the dental side of our business continued to be a resounding success under their ownership, we are now able to continue investing into new markets. With the projected growth of the veterinary healthcare market, we are delighted to broaden Denplan’s offering to extend into the corporate and large vet bodies sector.
