The Unlimited Company to host its first Dementia Friends event

Discover more about becoming a Dementia Friend at an information session at The Unlimited Company, in Stoke Bishop, on Wednesday 18 May 2016.

The lifestyle store, which helps people make the most of life and live more independently, will host the session from 11am to midday at the store in Shirehampton Road.

The session aims to help people to understand a little more about what it is like to live with dementia and how they can help in their area. Statistics from Dementia Friends show that 67% of people living with dementia don’t always feel part of their community and actions such as telling others and encouraging them to become a Dementia Friend or supporting someone they know with dementia can really make a difference.

The session is open to all, so come along and find out more.
Sarah Warwick, Simplyhealth employee and volunteer Dementia Friends Champion leading the session
