First place for Team Simplyhealth at the Corporate Engagement Awards

Simplyhealth, the UK’s leading provider of health and dental plans, Denplan dental payment and pet health plans, was named winner for ‘best engagement of an internal audience in a sponsorship programme’ at the Corporate Engagement Awards last night (26 June 2018).

In January 2017, Simplyhealth became title partner of The Simplyhealth Great Run Series; the largest series of mass participation running events in the world, which includes the world’s largest half marathon, the Simplyhealth Great North Run.

To mark the first year of the partnership, all 1,300 colleagues were offered the opportunity to join ‘Team Simplyhealth’ and run or volunteer at Simplyhealth Great Run events spanning 32 events in ten cities across the UK. In total, 360 run places were taken up, with many runners raising funds charity and 110 colleagues volunteered at events, where duties included handing out finisher’s packs, marshalling and welcoming runners across the line.

Employee engagement and experience is at the heart of Simplyhealth. We’re the kind of people who live by our purpose – it’s what helps us attract and keep great, talented people. We help our customers to make the most of life and we promise to do the same for our people.  Every day we help millions of people to improve their health and wellbeing not only through our products and services, but also through our partnership activities. It’s been a joy to see so many of our people get involved, from complete novices to established runners helping their colleagues achieve something that would have once never seemed possible.

We know that moving more is great for everyday health, both physically and mentally.  It’s incredibly important for our employees to experience first-hand how the partnership with Great Run brings our purpose of ‘helping people make the most of life through better everyday health’ to life. We’re extremely proud to have won this award and look forward to building upon the great things we have achieved through the 2018 Simplyhealth Great Run Series.
