New wheels for Andover Neighbourcare

Andover Neighbourcare is celebrating the launch of its new minibus, thanks to a £30,000 donation from everyday health plan provider Simplyhealth.

As the previous minibus was no longer fit for purpose, the donation from Simplyhealth has enabled Andover Neighbourcare to replace its minibus for members and purchase their own very own new one adapted for wheelchairs, making it accessible for all to use.

Used frequently throughout the week, the minibus will be used for day trips for members, day trips for local nursing homes and also hired by local groups for the elderly within the community.

We are absolutely over the moon to have received this fantastic gift. Not only have Simplyhealth helped to fund our new minibus, but Debbie Clarke and Paul Jeans from Simplyhealth were also vital to help us source and secure the minibus which is invaluable to our members. We are truly grateful for their continued support.
Pam Delderfield, manager for Andover Neighbourcare
It’s clear that the minibus will be a lifeline for Andover Neighbourcare’s members, ensuring that those who are elderly, disabled or do not have access can get out and about in the community.  Andover Neighbourcare provides many activities and services for people in the local area so to be able to provide them with this minibus to help people stay independent is wonderful. We look forward to see it darting around Andover and surrounding villages over the coming years.
