Simplyhealth Director wins Timewise Power 50 Award for proven success in a part-time role
Simplyhealth, the UK’s leading provider of health cash plans, dental payment plans and pet health plans, is delighted to announce its Director of Delivery & Growth, Carolyn Barkin, has been named in the 2018 Timewise Power 50 awards.
The awards champion the UK’s top flexible and part-time workers who are delivering in high-earning, business-critical roles with non-traditional working patterns.
Working part-time has never been an obstacle to doing work that I love, that is both challenging and meaningful.
Working part-time is a partnership between you, your team, and your employer. It requires nn understanding of the excellent return on investment that flexible working can gain for companies that take a leap of faith for the right candidate.
Over the past decade I’ve watched part-time working move from the shadows to something that is celebrated. That’s why I’m so honoured to be one of the 2018 Timewise Power 50 – an award that seeks to recognise both us ‘Power Part Timers’ as well as the companies who support us.
Simplyhealth’s purpose is to help people make the most of life through better everyday health and that applies to our own people too. We embrace flexible working and provide an environment that is supportive and promotes ongoing development as well as appropriate challenge and aspiration, regardless of working pattern. Carolyn is the first person at Director level to work part-time at Simplyhealth and has demonstrated how this can be successful working together. I’m delighted that she been recognised with this award.
Since joining Simplyhealth Carolyn has led the development and launch of Simplyhealth’s Care for Life proposition. Care for Life is initially an online service that helps employers to support the carers in their workforce as they cope with the impact of caring, reducing worry and time for colleagues and improving productivity and engagement for employers.
