Simplyhealth donates £4,700 to fund hospital entertainment service
A recent donation of £4,700 by healthcare provider Simplyhealth, will allow children's charity Pod, to continue providing entertainment services to sick children in hospitals and hospices across the country.
Pod's team of professional children's entertainers visit 150 locations across the UK and run over 2,000 children's shows every year. The shows include a range of activities including visits from magicians, musicians, puppeteers and clowns.
We are delighted to receive such a fantastic donation from Simplyhealth. Each show costs £50 to run. Thanks to Simplyhealth's contribution we can continue to provide our shows to children in hospitals right across the country. We understand that children experience a tough time when in hospital and through these shows, we aim to make their stay as enjoyable as it can be.
This is a great service and we are pleased that our donation will enable a further 94 shows to take place this year. Pod does a fantastic job entertaining children and we are delighted that our donation will provide them with the funds to continue this service.
Simplyhealth has an active Charitable Committee that donates to national health related charities. It also has established community funds in all of its locations, Andover, Bristol, Leeds, Letchworth, and Manchester. These exist to support charities and organisations in the local community.
