Simplyhealth spreads Christmas cheer with donations to nine local charities

Simplyhealth are donating a total of £40,000 to nine local charities this Christmas, to support them during what has been a difficult year for charities.

Simplyhealth has long standing relationships with various charities in and around Andover and Winchester, where their offices are based. Our purpose is to provide access to healthcare for the many, for the long term and so these donations will help to support these charities over the festive period.

With reduced fundraising opportunities in 2020, national and local charities are suffering from reduced incomes. As Christmas is the time for giving, Simplyhealth are donating an incredible £40,000 to nine local charities who continue to make a difference on an immeasurable scale. The following charities will each receive a £5,000 donation from Simplyhealth this Christmas:

With fundraising taking place earlier this year, Simplyhealth will also be donating £2,500 each to Andover Foodbank and Winchester Basic Bank.

It’s fantastic that we are able to support these local charities again this year at Christmas. They all do important work for our local communities, aligning with our purpose of making healthcare accessible for everyone.

“Christmas is a time of giving, and we hope that these donations can make a significant difference for the people that they support, through what has been a difficult year for everyone.

About Simplyhealth

Since 1872 we’ve been helping people get healthcare through our health plans, charity partnerships and by being a voice in healthcare. Today we’re delighted to be the UK’s leading provider of health plans, dental plans and pet health plans, which help individuals, families, employees and pets to get support with their health when they need it.

We don’t have shareholders which means we are totally focused on making sure no one goes without the healthcare support they need, and why we are passionate about being a voice in healthcare and partnering with charities to reduce health inequality. We have a commitment to donate part of our pre-tax profits to charities or community projects each year and spread our donations across a wide range of healthcare-related charities.

In 2019 we became Official Healthcare Partner of England Rugby, a partnership that will help us deliver on our purpose and improve access to healthcare for the rugby community.
