Simplyhealth teams up with specialist clinic to help consumers’ access vein treatments
One in three people in the UK has varicose veins, according to experts in treating vein conditions, Whiteley Clinics.
Earlier this year, NHS England revealed that 17 treatments, including varicose vein surgery, may not be offered to patients from next year as a proposal to help cut costs*. With the potential of it becoming harder to access treatment for vein conditions, Simplyhealth, the UK’s leading health plan provider is working with Whiteley Clinics to help patients cover the initial costs necessary to diagnose the best treatment for them.
The Simplyhealth Active Plan helps people to stay healthy and mobile, enabling them to see a private consultant for a full diagnosis by offering £300 back towards the cost, with other levels of cover available.
We know the initial costs for seeking a diagnosis from a consultant can sometimes prevent people from making an appointment. A Simplyhealth Active Plan can remove that barrier by helping to cover the cost up to the annual limit, depending on the level of cover you choose to take out. It’s important to seek a diagnosis as early as possible to prevent symptoms from getting any worse and, ultimately, having a bigger impact on your overall health.
