Studsvik achieves healthy workplace status

Nuclear Services company Studsvik, based at four sites in the UK, Gateshead, Preston, just outside Reading and Lillyhall in Cumbria has been commended for demonstrating its commitment to the health and wellbeing of its employees by receiving a Simplyhealth Healthy Workplace award.

Provided by healthcare provider Simplyhealth, the Healthy Workplace awards recognise the contribution that UK organisations, in both the private and public sector, make to the welfare of employees. Winners of the award provide employees with a range of initiatives and benefits that help to keep their workforce motivated and healthy.

Since June 2010 we gave our staff the opportunity to use the benefits associated with a Simplyhealth cash plan. It has helped us to focus on ensuring we support our staff’s health and wellbeing. We regularly discuss and review with our staff any opportunities to improve this, and other benefits. In 2011 we achieved the Investors in People Good Practice Award for Health and Wellbeing and I can honestly say Simplyhealth helped us to achieve this award. By winning a healthy workplace award from Simplyhealth we are demonstrating to our staff our ongoing commitment to their health and wellbeing.
