London, UK (13th April) - The Lady Garden Foundation announces its 2022 Challenge in Partnership with Simplyhealth - the UK’s leading provider of health financing solutions.  Hosted by Davina McCall, the challenge is available as a physical 5km or 10km run in Hyde Park on the 14th May, or as a virtual month-long fundraising activity from the 14th April. Through the hybrid approach, The Lady Garden Foundation and Simplyhealth aims to offer the opportunity for everyone across the globe to get involved, to raise vital funds and awareness to fight against gynaecological cancers.

The physical run in Hyde Park will be hosted by long-term Lady Garden supporter, Davina McCall - who has used her Instagram platform to encourage her 1.5million followers to join her in taking up the challenge.

500 attendees will take part in the run, with participants including VIPs such as Spice Girls’ Mel C and co-founders Mika Simmons, Chloe Delevingne, Jenny Halpern Prince and Tamara Beckwith Veroni. Other run committee members include Venus Williams, Arizona Muse, Mary Charteris and June Sarpong. Running to raise money and awareness for all five gynaecological cancers (Ovarian, Vulva, Vagina, Cervical and Womb), every participant will provide valuable support for the cause, helping to make the day a runaway success.

Through events like the annual running challenge, The Lady Garden Foundation wants to change how people talk about gynaecological cancers and raise money to fight against these diseases, which have received a lack of funding and awareness for so long. Simplyhealth shares a joint vision with The Lady Garden Foundation, as they set out to encourage one million comfortable conversations around women’s health through this partnership and beyond.

For those taking part in the challenge virtually, you can choose to walk, crawl, run, swim or hike your way to the following:

-          Kids Challenge 50km

-          Adult Challenge 100km

-          Team Challenge 250km

The virtual challenge will start on the 14th April and finish on the 14th May, coinciding with the date of the physical run, which follows a unique course through Hyde Park on Saturday 14th May. For those entering the Hyde Park run, they can choose to complete either the 5km or 10km run to fundraise for gynaecological cancers.
